Episode 04: Purpose In The Pain

Jeremiah 1:4

The Word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,

Before you were born, I set you apart.

I appointed you as a Prophet to the nations.

In this scripture it’s so much to unpack right here because this word speaks volumes all by itself. When you dive deeper into God words He starts to reveal to you what he wants you to know. Not only were you chosen by God but at some point God came and spoke to you personally and some way shape or form, don’t just take my Word for it look at the text. When you look at the verse it says O knew you now just think on that for a moment, He said knew you when you know somebody that means you’ve met them formally, in person, you had a conversation with that person or you had some type of relationship with that person whether it was friendship, relationship, co-worker, or something. This Word is speaking past tense so that means this happened in the past which means it has already happened.

The definition of knew is:

Have developed a relationship with (someone) through meeting and spending time with them; be familiar or friendly with.

He also wants us to know that He set us apart before we even entered the womb, which means no matter what you were always going to be isolated or feel like you don’t belong because you were never meant to fit in in the first place. The Word says don’t be confirmed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 God already removed you from the crowd before it even got started, it is us who tries to force things, people, relationships, etc. I remember a time when I actually thought to myself why can’t I be like them, I used to always think something was wrong with me. And this was before I started walking with Jesus. From this day forward I don’t want you to every question your existence, self worth, your purpose every again cause plain as day God already showed you and told you who your were baby you are the prize don’t ever forget that.

It’'s time to heal luv and start walking in purpose because God did not bring you thus far to leave you now!
