Walking InThe Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:14

The person without the spirit does not accept the things that come from the spirit of God but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the spirit.

When you are dealing with someone with a carnal mindset, they do not understand when we speak in the spirit that’s why they are so quick to dismiss anything we have to say or assume we are just crazy.

God speaks to us in the spirit so that we can understand what He is trying to convey because God is not worldly and we tend to interpret things from a worldly perspective and not spiritual. Unfortunately when we do that we assume that God means one thing but He really means another. The Bible says His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Definitions

Accept: believe or come to recognize ( an opinion, explanation, etc ) as valid or correct.

God is never wrong and He will not tell you a lie so don’t ever argue with someone about what God word says with anyone.

Understand: Perceive the intended meaning of (words, a language, or a speaker.

Discernment: The ability to judge

(In christian contexts) Perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual guidance and understanding.

God gives us the spirit of discernment so that we may judge people, things and situations accordingly.

We have to interact with non-believers accordingly because they don’t see things from a spiritual perspective.
